Gothic Greenhouse

These greenhouses were born in Central Europe in the last period of the Middle Ages and especially in the XIII-XV. It derives from the gothic architectural style that was effective between centuries.

The forms on the greenhouse roof are frequently used in gates and windows in Gothic Architecture. This form, which is used to increase the strength of the roof and to create large areas inside the building, also creates an elegant exterior appearance.

Greencon designs, manufactures and installs “Gothic Roof Greenhouse”. It is the most frequently mentioned greenhouse design, thanks to its adaptability to different climatic conditions.

This design shows high performance under very hot / cold weather conditions. The minimum operating temperature of our design can reach very low temperatures and can be used in very hot locations where the outside temperature reaches + 50C. The equipment included in this project has been prepared to maintain the internal temperature of the greenhouse between + 16C / + 30C.

Greencon designs greenhouses with high resistance to wind, snow, crop load, etc. These are greenhouses reinforced to withstand the harshest climatic conditions.

Our greenhouses covered with corrugated polycarbonate are suitable for desert or very hot areas to withstand heavy winds or sandstorms. In case of very cold temperatures, cellular polycarbonate is used to increase the insulation level (from 4 mm to 16 mm), so the greenhouse will use less energy.

The cross-section size will be different according to the load to be supported, usually 2.00 – 2.50 -3.00 – 4.00 -5.00 – 6.00 m.

The air volume to be kept in the greenhouse should be at the highest possible level, so the height under the gutter in our design is 5-5.5 meters, in this case the height of the greenhouse is 7.5-8 meters. We apply single or double roof ventilation in each tunnel to provide the best ventilation to the plants.

The covering material of the Gothic greenhouse is usually single or double layer plastic.

Greencon offers the following designs:

9.60, 11.2 and 12.80 meters are the standard sizes for the Gothic arch roof and spans. For the Gothic roof, the shape increases the m3 / m2 volume of the surface, giving us a better result by providing better light transmission, better moisture distribution under plastic and higher roof ventilation.
